How Ream Protects Our Authors From Plagiarism and Piracy

At Ream, it is essential for us to protect and support the livelihood of the storytellers on our platform.

That means protecting your work from plagiarism, piracy, and other bad actors.

Ream protects our authors from plagiarism/piracy in three ways:

1) We make it difficult for readers to copy and paste content from the Ream site.

2) We don't allow readers to download or sideload books from Ream and readers must be signed in to their accounts in order to read paid chapters. Thus, even when we send your paid subscribers email notifications about new chapters you have published, we never place any text inside those emails which prevents readers from forwarding subscribers to friends or copying and pasting content from emails. Instead, they must click a button in the email which takes them to Ream and ensures they are signed in to read paid content.

3) If someone infringes on your copyright and posts content wrongfully on the Ream platform, we have a process for reviewing and implementing DMCA takedowns which you can learn more about here and here.
