Can Readers Download Books Directly From Ream Authors?

Ream is a publishing platform that allows authors to publish stories, build a readership, and earn income directly from readers. Authors can publish serial fiction, e-books, audiobooks, and comics.

Readers can read their content either by subscribing to a tier level or purchasing a single sales e-book which gives you permanent access to that book.

Ream does not allow readers to download or sideload books from author pages. 

All of an author’s stories and content must be accessed by readers who are signed into their Ream account. This gives our authors maximum protection of their work and encourages engagement inside an author’s community on the platform.

However, we have our newest release, Single Sales, where you can purchase e-books from authors who offer single sales purchases (coming soon: audiobook and comics purchases).

Readers who purchase an e-book through Single Sales receive permanent access to the edition they purchased as long as they have an active account in good standing on the Ream platform. Future updates to a book will never remove access to content that was included with the original purchase. https://reamstories.com/policy/terms

For authors who offer Preorder sales of e-books, readers who pre-order a book will automatically receive access when the release goes live via email notification. No additional action is required after checkout.

Authors may also wish to use other services to send files to their readers. In addition, authors can use sites like Zoom or Google Meets to deliver live streams and other experiences for their readers that Ream does not currently have integrated directly into the platform.
