How Can I Cancel, Downgrade, or Upgrade My Subscription?

Ream is a publishing platform that allows authors to publish stories, build a readership, and earn income. Authors can publish serial fiction, e-books, audiobooks, and comics while using discovery, community, and subscription tools to grow their audience, while readers can discover new authors and support their favorites.

At any time you can decide to upgrade, downgrade or cancel your subscription plan to an author. You can do so by following these instructions:

To Upgrade Your Subscription:

• log in to your Ream account
• go to Memberships using the 3 dots on the upper right side
• choose which membership and the click the 3 dots to the far right and select Manage
• if there is a higher tier than the subscription you currently have, and you want to upgrade, you can click the purple Upgrade button

*Please note: The Upgrade button will not work to downgrade or cancel

To Downgrade Your Subscription:

• log in to your Ream account
• go to Memberships using the 3 dots on the upper right side
• choose which membership and the click the 3 dots to the far right and select Manage
• then click Manage Billing, where you'll be taken to the checkout page
• to downgrade, on the next (checkout) page, click the purple Update Subscription button to choose a different subscription tier level (your current subscription is highlighted and lower tiers are above your subscription if there are any)
• select the tier and click Continue at the bottom to complete the transaction
• changes happen immediately and any credit will be prorated (discounted) on your next invoice

To Cancel Your Subscription:

• log in to your Ream account
• go to Memberships using the 3 dots on the upper right side
• to cancel your subscription, choose Cancel Membership instead of Manage
• to unsubscribe from the tier, confirm by clicking Unsubscribe

Please note:

• upgrading or downgrading a subscription will take effect immediately, and the subscription cost will be prorated as needed (the difference in price charged if upgraded, the difference in price credited to your subscription if downgraded).
• canceling a subscription will end the membership on the next invoice date, and you will retain access to the content until that date
