How to Create a Separate Stripe Account for Ream

This is for authors in our Direct integration

When setting up Ream with Stripe, you must create a new Stripe profile, but you do not have to use a different email. This is because, for authors in our Direct integration, they have full access and ownership of their Stripe payout account. This gives you full control over your reader's encrypted payment data and the ability to port your subscriptions off the Ream platform if you want to leave.

This new Stripe profile can have the same email and password you used for past Stripe profiles. Per Stripe policy, each line of business and platform you connect to requires a new account. This maintains your own security and privacy so that we at Ream only have access to data pertaining to your business on the Ream platform.
