How to Create Tiers on Ream
It's time to launch your membership!
Well... almost. First, we have to create some tiers that can help your subscription grow and thrive.
Remember...
A Tier is a solution(s), reward(s), or offering(s) to your readers at a specific price point.
Here's how you can create a tier on Ream:
Step 1: Go to your author dashboard at https://reamstories.com/creator-hub/dashboard
Step 2: Click on Page from the dashboard panel.
Step 3: When on the Public view of your Ream page, click on the Edit button on the gray panel at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: You will now see your first tier on Ream! You have the option to enter a price for the tier, a tier image, and a name and description for the tier.
Step 5: When you are done editing your new tier, click the Add button in order to add the tier to your public subscription page. Then to save your page, click the Save button on the editing panel at the bottom of the screen.
Step 6: Once you click to Save your page, you can also click View to see your Ream tier just as your readers will :).
How tiers are sorted on Ream:
On Ream, tiers are sorted left to right in ascending order based on their price. If you have a $5 and a $3 tier, your $3 tier will be visible to readers first.
Some Key Things to Know About Tiers on Ream:
Tier Tip #1: Tier images must be 2:1 in dimensions. We recommend at least 600 px (horizontal) by 300 px (vertical).
Tier Tip #2: Once you set the price of a tier, you can't change it.
In order to change the price of a specific tier, you will have to create a new tier at a new price point. You can then either Archive or Delete the old tier.
If you already have subscribers in a tier, Ream recommends to always Archive your tiers when changing price points. This ensures that existing subscribers retain their benefits and are continued to be charged at the original price they signed up for.
Deleting tiers automatically unsubscribes everyone from your tier and stops recurring payments.
For more information, you can read our guide on and Deleting Tiers.
Tier Tip #3: You can change the copy, title, and branding at any time.
In short, on Ream your relationship to your readers is yours. You can change what you offer on your tiers anytime for any reason. We recommend you communicate these changes with your readers. However, if you are changing your chapter release schedule, discontinuing a benefit, or adding a new one — you are more than welcome to do so.
Likewise, everything from tier names and images can be changed at any time. Don't feel pressured to start your subscription with everything finalized. The beauty of your subscription is that it will change with time as it grows and you garner feedback from readers. And you can make any changes whenever you want.
Now, I know what you're thinking... but wait... I have so many more questions about tiers.
Don't worry, this was just a guide on how to create your first tier on Ream.
