Payout Minimum and Payout Fees on Ream

Ream is a serial fiction publishing platform that allows authors to publish stories, build a readership, and earn income directly from readers. Authors can publish serial fiction, ebooks, audiobooks, and comics while using discovery, community, and subscription tools to grow their audience. Authors can get started on Ream using the platform’s built-in tools and settings.

This is for Ream Managed Authors

Ream currently has a payout minimum of $50 USD. 

This means that if you don’t have $50 available to be paid out after applicable payment fees and the Ream platform fee, then you will be unable to be paid out on Ream. We will hold this money in your account and carry over your available balance from prior months until you pass the $50 threshold.

For authors who have passed our minimum payout threshold, then their payout will automatically be disbursed on the 10th of each month. 

After disbursement, payment typically takes a few days to actually reach your bank account.

As long as you have funds available in any amount, you can pay yourself manually anytime on Ream inside your Ream dashboard. Thus you can pay yourself out weekly, multiple times each month, or whenever you desire, But, our payment partner charges a fee for Every withdrawal.

Our payment partner charges a separate payout fee which is standard across many internet platforms. 

This fee is $0.25 plus 0.25% per payout on Ream. In addition, there is a $2 fee charged each month that you make an active payout on Ream.

Due to these payment processing fees, Ream has set a monthly payout minimum to ensure that our authors maximize their take-home income and avoid additional fees. 

The Direct integration does not have any associated payout fees and no payout minimums.
