Payout Minimum and Payout Fees on Ream
This is for Ream Managed Authors
Ream currently has a payout minimum of $50 USD.
This means that if you don’t have $50 available to be paid out after applicable payment fees and the Ream platform fee, then you will be unable to be paid out on Ream. We will hold this money in your account and carry over your available balance from prior months until you pass the $50 threshold.
For authors who have passed our minimum payout threshold, then their payout will automatically be disbursed on the 10th of each month.
After disbursement, payment typically takes a few days to actually reach your bank account.
As long as you have over $50 available, you can pay yourself manually anytime on Ream inside your Ream dashboard. Thus you can pay yourself out weekly, multiple times each month, or whenever you desire as long as you surpass the $50 threshold.
Our payment partners also charge a separate payout fee which is standard across many internet platforms.
This fee is $0.25 plus 0.25% per payout on Ream. In addition, there is a $2 fee charged each month that you make an active payout on Ream.
Due to these payment processing fees, Ream has set a payout minimum to ensure that our authors maximize their take-home income.
As Ream scales our operations we will be working to negotiate with our payment partners to bring down our associated payout fees so that we can reduce our payout minimum and increase the take-home pay of our authors in Ream Managed.
The Direct integration does not have any associated payout fees and no payout minimums.
