How to Create Polls on Ream

You can create Polls inside your Ream community to engage your readers and gain feedback on your subscription.

Now let's discover how you can create a beautiful poll just like this...

1. Head to the Community section inside your Ream author dashboard and add a Poll to a new post.

You can do this by signing into your Ream Author Dashboard, navigating to the Community Tab, and then creating a new post.

The Community section of Ream is similar to your own social media feed to share updates, bonuses, character art, and more with readers that they receive like an email newsletter but can engage with by commenting and reacting.

The Stories section of Ream is where you can publish chapters to your tiers, whether you release them serially, as novels, or publish titles from your backlist.

When you create a Community post, at the bottom right-hand corner you will see three dots. Click the three dots and you can then select the ability to create a poll.

2. Customize Your Poll with expiration dates, voting options, and poll types 🎉.

You can choose between:

  • Single choice polls: your readers only get to vote for one poll option.

  • Multiple choice polls: your readers can vote for multiple poll options.

Please note: You must have at least two options for your readers in either type of poll.

Then you can set an expiration date for your poll, localized to your time zone.

Past this date, readers won't be able to vote for the poll.

And of course, you can create the poll options, creating as many options as you'd like for your readers to choose from.

You can create polls to ask readers their favorite parts about your membership. You can poll your readers to ask them about their favorite books, and new story ideas you are thinking about that they'd read... You can even have them vote on the names of characters in your books!

The possibilities are limitless. And just like all other Community posts on Ream, you can limit the visibility of Ream to Followers or any of your paid tiers.

At this time, you cannot make your polls public for everyone outside of Ream to view. This may become available in a future update. https://ream.tawk.help/article/how-do-public-posts-and-public-chapters-work
